How long does it take to get results?
The onset and duration of CBD effects may vary depending on the individual pet. Some may experience benefits within minutes, while others may take a few days to show improvement
For those using CBD oil for ongoing support or addressing chronic conditions, giving it some time and maintaining consistent usage is recommended.
It’s essential to start with a low dosage and gradually increase if needed. Keep a diary to track your pet experience with CBD oil, noting any changes in symptoms or improvements over time. If you have specific health concerns, consulting with a veterinary for personalised guidance on using CBD oil is best.
Can Pet CBD help Your pet's anxiety, stress, or separation issues?
Many pet owners have reported the positive effects of CBD oil in reducing anxiety, stress, and separation-related behaviours in their pets.
This information is backed by this clinical study published in the Journal of Frontiers in Veterinary Science, "A single dose of cannabidiol (CBD) positively influences measures of stress in dogs during separation and car travel."
Can I use Pet CBD oil for my pet's chronic pain conditions?
CBD oil may help manage chronic pain in pets.
This information is backed by this clinical study published in the Journal of Frontiers in Veterinary Science, "The role of cannabinoids in pain modulation in companion animals."
Why Are Our Hemp Terpenes formulation Important?
Terpenes can positively impact our health, partly because they influence the production of neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin.
CBD’s terpenes improve beneficial chemicals’ absorption capacity through the blood-brain barrier, overcome bacterial defence mechanisms and increase the absorption and effectiveness of cannabinoids.
Our terpenes:
- Alpha-Pinene and Beta-Pinene: increase mental agility, clarity, and overall cognitive functions. They have also been researched for their significant applications in bronchial dilation, pain relief, epilepsy, cancer treatment and neuroprotection. They are widely recognised as anti-inflammatory, antidepressant, antiseptic and antioxidant.
- Alpha-Terpinene: is a powerful antioxidant and has been studied to integrate a possible cancer treatment.
- Anethol: It is an anti-inflammatory analgesic and has antitumor activity.
- Beta-Caryophyllene: exists in several plants and, in high doses, is known as a stimulant, but not in the cannabis plant. It has anti-inflammatory properties, analgesics and modulates the immune system.
- Limonene: is an antidepressant. It activates adenosine receptors, making the body more receptive to CBD, improving its effects. In addition, limonene is anti-inflammatory and has antitumor activity.
- Linalool is a soothing, anxiolytic, sedative terpene, analgesic, and anaesthetic.
- Terpinolene: is another terpene with antitumor and antibacterial properties.

Why is our Pet CBD oil broad-spectrum?
1. Non-Psychoactive and Safe
One of the biggest concerns pet owners have about CBD products is whether they will affect their pets’ mental state. Broad-spectrum CBD oil is completely free of THC (<0,01%), ensuring your pet won’t experience any psychoactive effects. This makes it a safe option for pets of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
2. Harnesses the Entourage Effect
Broad-spectrum CBD oil includes multiple cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids that work together synergistically. This phenomenon, known as the entourage effect, amplifies the therapeutic benefits of each compound, providing more effective relief compared to CBD isolate.
3. Eases Anxiety and Stress
Pets can experience anxiety from various triggers, such as loud noises, separation, or new environments. Broad-spectrum CBD oil helps regulate their mood by interacting with the endocannabinoid system (ECS), promoting calmness and reducing stress levels naturally.
4. Provides Effective Pain Relief
Whether your pet is recovering from an injury or dealing with chronic pain conditions like arthritis, broad-spectrum CBD oil can be a lifesaver. It has powerful anti-inflammatory properties that alleviate discomfort, improving your pet’s mobility and quality of life.
5. Supports Joint and Mobility Health
As pets age, joint issues like arthritis become common. Broad-spectrum CBD oil helps reduce inflammation in joints, allowing older pets to move more comfortably and stay active longer.
6. Boosts the Immune System
With its rich blend of cannabinoids, broad-spectrum CBD oil can enhance your pet’s immune response. It helps the body fight off infections and recover faster from illnesses.
7. Reduces Seizure Frequency
For pets with epilepsy, broad-spectrum CBD oil is a natural alternative to traditional medications. Studies have shown it can significantly reduce the frequency and severity of seizures, improving the overall well-being of pets with this condition.
8. Promotes Better Sleep
Sleep disturbances can be just as frustrating for pets as they are for humans. Broad-spectrum CBD oil promotes relaxation and helps pets achieve a more restful sleep, especially if they struggle with anxiety or pain.
9. Improves Skin and Coat Health
The inclusion of essential fatty acids in broad-spectrum CBD oil benefits your pet’s skin and coat. Regular use can soothe itchiness, reduce redness, and leave your pet’s coat shiny and healthy.
10. Aids Digestive Health
Broad-spectrum CBD oil can support a healthy digestive system by reducing nausea and improving appetite. This is especially useful for pets recovering from illness or undergoing treatments that affect their eating habits.
11. 100% Natural Alternative
Broad-spectrum CBD oil is derived from natural sources, making it an excellent alternative to synthetic medications. It’s free of harmful additives, providing peace of mind to pet owners looking for safe, holistic remedies.
Broad-spectrum CBD oil is an excellent option for pets dealing with anxiety, chronic pain, or other health concerns. However, always consult your veterinarian before introducing any new supplement to your pet’s routine, especially if they’re on medication or have pre-existing conditions.
Pet CBD - Conditions, Weight, Dosage
The Pet Quiz CBD was developed based on dozens of empirical studies, primarily conducted in the USA.
The following suggestions summarise the best practices related to CBD dosage. The following suggestions, in general, summarize the best practices related to CBD dosage for dogs and cats. The dosage is merely a reference that has worked in most situations. If there is a need to increase the daily dose, we suggest not exceeding 4 mg of CBD/kg/day (dogs and cats). In many cases and for the same weight, doses for cats tend to be higher than for dogs because cats have fewer endocannabinoid receptors than dogs.
Anxiety, Depression, Hyperactivity, Stress, Skin Allergies, Loss of Appetite, Seizures:
- Mild/Moderate: 0.5 to 0.75 mg CBD/kg
- Severe: 0.75 to 1.5 mg CBD/kg
Pain, Inflammation (arthritis, arthrosis, gingivitis, urinary tract infection, etc.):
- Mild/Moderate: 1 to 1.75 mg CBD/kg
- Severe: 1.75 to 3 mg CBD/kg
Based on some studies and empirical experience, it is suggested not to exceed the following amounts of CBD oil for exotic pets:
- Birds (parakeets, parrots, etc.): 10 mg CBD/kg per day
- Rabbits: 20 mg CBD/kg per day
- Hamsters and guinea pigs: 50 mg CBD/kg per day
And for equines (e.g., horses), do not exceed 3 mg CBD/kg.
Why we use Pet CBD with hemp seed oil, not olive or MCT oil?
Hemp seed oil is high in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and may help reduce inflammation and improve skin health. It is a light, thin oil easily absorbed by the body, which benefits overall health.
Hemp synergy, since it comes from the same plant as CBD, hemp seed oil may complement CBD’s effects due to other hemp-derived compounds.
Olive oil is not appropriate for pets.
MCT oil may have a laxative effect on some pets, especially dogs.
What Are the Important Laboratory Tests for Pet CBD?
With the growing popularity of CBD products, transparency and reliability are becoming increasingly important. This is where independent laboratory tests come in – an essential component in ensuring CBD oil’s purity, safety, and efficacy.
Unfortunately, not all CBD oils undergo independent laboratory testing with reputable analysis, and the difference is significant.
These are the lab tests that all CBD oils should undergo:
– Potency/Concentration Test: This measures the levels of cannabinoids, including CBD and THC, to ensure that the product is within legal limits and matches the information on the label. A study published on 13 July 2023 in the Journal of Cannabinoid Research, alarmingly revealed that 92% of the products analysed on the market had lower concentrations of CBD than indicated on the labels.
– Heavy Metal Testing: This detects harmful heavy metals such as lead, arsenic, mercury, and cadmium, which can harm health. A ground-breaking study published on 8 April 2024 in Cannabis Science and Technology reveals that many products contain heavy metals (mainly lead) that exceed 50% of the daily adult limit and alarmingly surpass safe levels for children.
– Microbiological Testing: This identifies the presence of pathogenic microorganisms, such as bacteria, fungi, and yeast, to ensure the product is safe for consumption.
– Pesticide Testing: This checks for the presence of chemical pesticide residues used in agriculture, ensuring levels are within safe limits.
All our CBD oils are tested by batch and concentration.
Which CBD extraction method do We use for Our Pet CBD oil?
Supercritical CO2 extraction is considered the best method to produce high-quality CBD with a high purity level, free from contaminants.
It is considered a more environmentally friendly method compared to some solvent-based extraction processes.
CO2 extraction can be adjusted to obtain different cannabinoids and terpenes, allowing for final product customisation.
Could Our Pet CBD oil interact with Your Pet's medication?
Due to insufficient clinical studies, we suggest talking with your veterinarian to see potential interactions before taking CBD. However, empirical cases have shown that pet owners usually administer CBD to their pets with an interval of at least 2 hours between any medication or supplements processed by the P450 enzymes to allow them to metabolise individually.
Can You Administer CBD while nursing or during pregnancy of Your Pet?
The safety of using CBD during pregnancy and breastfeeding is still a subject of ongoing research. Due to limited research and possible potential risks, many veterinarians, as a precautionary measure, do not advise using CBD during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Discussing the use of CBD with your veterinarian is crucial if you are considering using CBD during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Are there any known allergies to Pet CBD oil or hemp-related products?
Allergic reactions to CBD and hemp products are rare but possible. If your pet experiences any adverse effects, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian.
Is Pet CBD oil addictive for pets?
CBD oil is not considered addictive as it does not contain THC, the compound responsible for addiction.
The product solutions suggested by the CBD Quiz contain no THC or levels below 0.01%.
What are the possible side effects of CBD?
If the dosage is appropriate and the CBD oil is of high quality and THC-free, potential side effects are very rare and, if they occur, are mild, including:
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
If you notice any side effects, stop administering the CBD oil to your pet and consult a veterinarian or contact us.
