The authors conclude that oral administration of CBD at doses of up to 3 mg/kg is well tolerated in horses.
However, based on some studies and empirical experience, it is suggested that you never exceed the amount of 1.5 mg CBD/ kg day.
Should I take a break from CBD Horses (equines)?

For 90 days, some horses received CBD (2 mg/kg/day) and others a placebo. The results in horses given CBD showed a reduction in inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α and IL-6), with no significant adverse effects on clinical tests or vaccine response. CBD has proven to be safe and promising as an anti-inflammatory.
